Living in The Heights
What to know about The Heights
Houston Heights was founded in the 1890s as one of the first planned communities in Texas, and it still has that old-neighborhood feel. Shaded streets are lined with restored Victorians and Craftsman bungalows, mixed with newer homes and townhomes.
Locals love walking to coffee, dinner and the shops on 19th Street, and the Heights Hike and Bike Trail connects the neighborhood to White Oak Bayou and beyond.
